In this day and age of million dollar bonus babies, and whinney crybaby pro athletes, it's really refreshing to see a group of athletes take to their arena because they LOVE to PLAY their SPORT! A group of dedicated athletes, who finance themselves (and roller derby equipment ain't cheap) put in the practice time at their own expense, and have put together a high quality team.....Now in my lifetime, I've seen professional sports spiral down the shameful road of greed. Free agency, ticket prices sky rocket, and as Seinfield has said, all you end up doing is rooting for a uniform, because the players change teams so often, ala baseball....Now, how did I come to learn of these girls???
A while back, they were promoting themselves (yes they take the time to meet their fans) at a local club. After their promo-event they wandered into my favorite watering hole. At first I thought all my dreams had come true, seeing all these women enter the bar in their black and hot pinks. But after speaking with a few of them I realized just how serrious for their sport they were. Then in my semi-stupor, I mockingly challenged to get by Redneck Ophelia and she did what any pro would do, knocked me on my ass! A lot of my friends wear high-heeled shoes work. They also wear them when they go out at night, often I see them dressed in their weekend days. I do not know Yang wrong me, but I want to have comfortable UGG boots, and not supposed to be a make my feet look good. This is never more apparent to me than my road trip this summer. Although my favorite shoes of some of my time, I always eventually wear comfortable.
My high-heeled shoes, fashion shoes, or whatever. In fact, I'm fan of shoes. My husband know that when we by a UGG boots store, I am distracted by his best, otherwise we will go inside a walk. I love all the shoes, boots, and a variety of types. However, I usually end most of the wear comfortable shoes. I like some other studies, but once my feet began to hurt I want to drive them off. I have one, I have three years of comfortable UGG boots. The only thing I'm to get rid of them if I could find another one, which is exactly the same.

Not that I don't get a kick out of that too, but last night I thought she might just 'stroke-out' at the Yankees loss!
So, to put my amusement aside, and hope for my dear old mother-in-laws health, tonight I HAVE to root for the Yankees! Damn Yankees! Not only are they in the series, it might just kill ME to cheer them on! Most of the time you hear the fans of their opponents cry out Damn Yankees, as their team looses. Last night was different. Especially in the 9th inning, when the Bronx Bombers made a slight run. But 3 outs came soon enough, and throughout my quaint neighborhood, all could hear the screaching screams of 'Moms'. Damn Yankees, DAMN YANKEES, damnit, Damnit, DAMNIT! I had a hold on the telephone, ready to speed dial 911 for Mom's ambulance.

Transparent as ever were the MTV VMA's on Sunday night. One should know that MTV, famous for their crappy awards shows, would pull some sort of staged stunt, but there's more to this one. The 'Puppet Masters' really got ahold of this event. I wasn't about to fall for it though. It was the opening night of Sunday Night Football, and that's where the real men were. And who can forget other crummy MTV award show's staged events? Borat? Triumph the Insult Comic Dog? Eminem? All pretending to 'go at it' on different occasions.
So, I didn't see it live. I missed Kanye West act like a complete ASS to Taylor Swift (the only one left out of the loop, by her surprised reaction!). Then Beyonce, ever the professional, allowing Taylor 'her moment'. Not that Beyonce needs any better publicity, but why turn down an opportunity! In reality, there was no real looser. Even Kanye's now getting good print. But.......
The real Winner? HEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRR'SSSSSSSS JAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY LEEEEEEENNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! That's right! Jay Leno! I can bet his peeps had a hand in it in a 'Hugh Grant' sort of way. The medicore late night talk show host, who won't retire gracefully like Johnny Carson did, needed a good opening night. And who was one of his first guests? KANYE WEST (Ha-Ha). Jay bet that some folks would want to see Kanye apologize for the 100th time, and just like the 'Hugh Grant' thing, he wasn't all wrong. Now in primetime, Jay's not only went up against the opening of 2 Monday Night Football games, but other decent programming. I'm betting though, that Jay was beatout by MNF and possibly even WWE Raw (which is still the king of the 'staged' plotlines).
I wouldn't fall for it though. As real men did, I watched 2 football games last night. And this morning, I read all about Kanye's apology to Taylor. Boy, not that Taylor's not getting good press by this event, but I hope the 'Puppet Masters' forked over something more, like the promise of a primetime special.
