A bombing in a foreign country.  A dead celebrity. A senseless murder.  A stockmarket swindell.  There's today's top news stories!  Seems like the same stories day after day, just the names and places change. And that's about 5 minutes of important news.  And what comes after this?  Today's Really Big News! That's right! The stories we really want to read on our computers, see on the morning news, or read in our local papers.  Once you get past the meat, there is no more potatoes. Just the sticky sweet dessert.  Today is no different!  This is what caught my attention this morning at 6am, all of which should be bylined by Phil Space!

'Guiding Light' demise continues soaps' decline - http://www.cnn.com/2009/SHOWBIZ/TV/09/17/guiding.light.soaps.reality/index.html  I really feel bad at the decline of the soap opera, but that's what happens when you give Tyra Banks her own talk show.  But what's more troubling is that (at this time) this is CNN's most popular story.  The public has spoken. To hell with Iraq, Iran, and Health Care!

Fox News wasn't so bad.  At least they picked up a 'local' story that I had to read (maybe due to the upcomming Halloween?)
